Live Taping: Joyce’s WAKE at Fisher Library, Oct 21, FREE

Please join One Little Goat Theatre Company and the Fisher Rare Books Library (University of Toronto) for a special live taping of Chapter 5 of James Joyce’s extraordinary, comic epic, Finnegans Wake, read by Irish Canadian actor Richard Harte (pictured below) and directed by Adam Seelig.

6pm Monday 21 October, Fisher Library (pictured at top), 120 St George St, Toronto (map).

This event is free! Registration is required and opens Tuesday 24 September. Seating is limited.

Displayed during the reading will be books, maps and art from Fisher’s collections that relate to Joyce’s novel, including Marshall McLuhan’s heavily annotated first-edition copy of Finnegans Wake, and Sir Edward Sullivan’s landmark study, The Book of Kells (pictured right). The display is curated by John Shoesmith, Special Collections Librarian.
